This is a safe fed daily natural alternative (fed in grain mix or free choice).

Testimony--**An experiment was run on 2 teams of draft horses. One team of horses was wormed with a paste wormer
and on the other team of horses N. O.M. S was used according to directions. The teams of horses were turned out on a
20 year old 10 acre dry lot with 10 other horses. After 30 days both teams were tested for worms. The team of horses
that were wormed with the paste wormer were reinfected. The test results from the team of horses fed N. O.M.S
was negative. It now has been 1 year and 2 months since this experiment was run. The rest of the horses have
been put on N. O.M. S. and none have been reinfected within this time period. All the horses have a wonderful

ABC's Organic Garlic

Garlic is a traditional cure for worms and other parasites and has the ability to deter biting flies.

Rich in sulfur, once garlic is ingested it will cleanse the blood and then be excreted through the pores of the skin where the sulfur compounds are mildly noxious to parasites.

Garlic is also ideal for respiratory disorders due to its expectorant qualities and is one of the best herbs to prevent and fight infections.

Very popular in Europe, garlic's strengths and effects are legendary! Considered one of the best general tonics, it stimulates the appetite, is rich in B vitamins and sulphur, is a blood purifier, expectorant, and in many cases it can help reduce your horse's appeal to flies.

Garlic is also ideal for respiratory disorders, being both an expectorant and having anti-biotic qualities it will encourage the expulsion of mucus from the lungs and help with any infection present. Garlic is also excellent for skin problems, being rich in sulphur, which is excreted through the pores in the skin. Garlic is also an excellent aid to digestion. It supports the development of natural bacterial flora, whilst killing pathogens.

Garlic is an immune system booster and can be used during seasons of change or whenever the immune system may be challenged. Externally: the juice from a cut bulb can be used on cuts, bites, stings, lice and ringworm, as well as tick bites.

You don’t need extracts or isolated compounds to get results. Fresh or dry, regular whole garlic is beneficial. (The Chinese traditionally aged whole clove garlic in vinegar for two to three years to enhance its medicinal properties.)



NOTE: care should be taken if you are feeding nursing mares garlic: it may taint the milk and upset the foals sensitive digestive system, however, immune system support for mare and foal may be enhanced by decreasing the dose to 2 -3 teaspoons.

Using chemical worming agents on a regular schedule could be harming your horse, even more than the parasites/worms
themselves by compromising his immune system as well as his "natural digestive defenses" against them.
Frequent chemical worming can even be contributing to new invasions of parasites by altering his intestinal environment.

It is true that internal parasites can be silent killers, which may cause internal damage if not controlled. They can
lower your horse's resistance by robbing him of valuable nutrients, which would normally be used to maintain his
immune system at healthy levels. In some cases a parasitic infestation may even cause gastrointestinal irritations
such as non-specific colic or colic like symptoms, ulcers or ulcer like sores.

However, the question begs to be asked: When did we all seem to buy into the frequent paste worming protocol
without first questioning whether or not our horse actually had a parasite problem? Who was it that convinced us
that our horses really needed a paste wormer on a 6-8 week basis all year long? How often have we/you/me really
checked the parasite load before giving a chemical wormer?
